Hans Bijl

Hans Bijl is Sr. Business Development Manager at Siemens\' Industrial Automation Competence Centre Life Science, based Antwerp, Belgium. Over the last decade, he has been working in various fields in the Life Science arena, both in sales & marketing related assignments as well as number of dedicated projects (e.g. PAT/QbD, Continuous Manufacturing and Secure Tracking and Tracing).

From 2006 to 2008 he spent 2 years in Shanghai, China, building the local subsidiary of the Life Science Competence Centre, where he was able to capture the opportunities, challenges and pitfalls of the world’s largest developing pharma region from within.

Since his return to Europe, one of the assignments he picked up again is, on behalf of the Industry Division of Siemens, the corporate initiative around Pharmaceutical Anti-Counterfeiting measures and Supply Chain security, including serialisation.Hans has been a regular speaker at various conferences (e.g. ISPE), both in Asia and Europe.

Juergen Manz

Juergen Manz

Juergen Manz, is Head of Solution for Tracking & Tracing for the pharmaceutical industry at Siemens IT Solutions and Services. Juergen has more than fifteen years of experience in logistics, distributions and supply chain in the pharmaceutical industry and other sectors. Prior, Juergen was head of the solution for logistic unit in Siemens. During this time period Juergen was responsible for the RFID setup at Siemens IT Solutions and Services. He was in charge of business development, service offering setup, prototyping, customer development and member of RFID main project steering comities. Juergen is responsible for the design and implementation of Siemens Track & Trace solutions to improve supply chain processes and security.

Juergen published the several article concerning RFID, logistics, supply chain tracking & tracing and serilization, co-authored the Siemens Whitepaper Serialization@Siemens and spoke at several conferences.

Dr. Wolfgang Scheiding

Dr. Wolfgang Scheiding

Dr. Wolfgang Scheiding is Vice President of the Siemens Market Development Board Pharma. In addition he is also head of the Industrial Automation & Drives Technology (IA&DT) Vertical Market Management Pharma (former Competence Center Pharma).

Dr. Wolfgang Scheiding has already more than 26 years experience in the pharmaceutical business, especially in engineering and validation.

He started his career in Hoechst AG, at that time one of the biggest companies in the global chemical and pharmaceutical business, where he became deputy head of engineering department of electrical instrumentation, automation and control. After the split of Hoechst AG, Dr. Scheiding joined Axiva GmbH & Co. KG where her became Vice President of the Pharmaceutical Business Unit. Since 2000 he is in charge of the pharmaceutical business within the Siemens AG.

Based on his extensive experience with the pharmaceutical industry he fully understands the requirements and is aware of the need for solutions that are especially designed to fulfill the unique demands of pharmaceutical manufacturing.
